Founded in Cupertino, California in 1976, Apple Inc (AAPL) develops and produces electronics and software. Apple rose to prominence in the 1980's with its Apple Lisa, the first personal computer with a GUI offered to the public. Notable products offered by Apple today include the iPhone, iPod, Mac computers and PCs. Co-founder Steve Jobs is perhaps one of the most well-known and respected CEO's today.
