Headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Hasbro, Inc (HAS) is the second largest toy maker worldwide and the publisher of the most popular board game, Monopoly.

Hasbro traces its roots back to 1923 when Henry and Helal Hassenfeld founded Hassenfeld Brothers.In 1952, Hasbro brought the wildly popular Mr. Potato Head toy to market and the G.I. Joe action figure in 1964.

By 1968, the company was going by the name Hasbro Industries. Hasbro purchased the Milton Bradley Company in 1984, adding The Game of Life, Candy Land, Twister, and Yahtzee under the company's expanding game line.

Hasbro cashed in with its Transformers toys in 1984, leading to the successful cartoon series and recent live-action films. Other toys under the Hasbro umbrella include NERF, Pokemon, and Play-Doh, in addition to popular board games such as Scrabble, Dungeons & Dragons, Cranium, Pictionary, and Trivial Pursuit.
