Dr. Pepper Snapple Group History

Formerly a subsidiary of Cadbury Schwepps plc known as Cadbury Schwepps Americas Beverages (CSAB), Dr. Pepper Snapple has existed in its current form for just over a year. When the company went public on May 7, 2008, shares sold for $25.50/share, far below competitors. Stocks continued to fluctuate between $20-$25/share for the next several months, until the market crashed in late 2008. Stocks plummeted from an all-time high of $26.82/share in September, 2008 to an all-time low of $12.21/share in March 2009. Since March, prices have been steadily climbing creating the period of highest growth in the company's short history.

Share prices have been seeing solid growth over the past month. On April 21, shares sold for $19.36 and closed at $20.83/share on May 20, representing a 7.6% advance.
