Headquartered in Plano, TX, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group (DPS) is a manufacturer, distributor and marketer of non-alcoholic beverages. Their product portfolio contains well-known brands in both the carbonated and non-carbonated drink sectors. In addition to their two flagship brands, Dr. Pepper and Snapple, DPS owns 7UP, A&W, Sunkist, Welch's, and Yoo-hoo, along with many other prominent tea, juice, mixer and carbonated beverage brands. The company sells their products to a variety of sources including distributors, food service customers, and convenience and grocery stores.
The Dr. Pepper Snapple Group was incorporated in 2008 when Cadbury Schwepps Americas Beverages (CSAB) spun-off from Cadbury Schwepps plc. The CSAB group, later to be renamed Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, brought together 4 leaders in the North American beverage business: Dr. Pepper/Seven Up Inc., Snapple Beverage Group, Mott's LLP, and Bebidas Mexico. The unification of these firms allowed the newly formed Dr. Pepper Snapple to take third place in the competitive North American beverage market.
