Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Alcoa, Inc. (AA) is the third largest producer of aluminum in the world.
Alcoa traces its formation back to 1888 as the Pittsburgh Reduction Company. By 1903, the firm would go by The Aluminum Company of America, and would be coined Alcoa in 1910. The company formally adopted Alcoa as its name in 1999.
Flat rolled products make up about 35% of Alcoa's revenues, while primary metals account for roughly 30%, and engineered products and solutions businesses make up about 20% of sales. Alcoa has an estimated 80,000 employees in 35 countries, serving aerospace, automotive, packing, building, transportation, and other industrial markets.
