Is Obama getting treated with kid gloves by the media Some think so.

Controversy arose after Google quickly disarmed the google bomb term miserable failure that was linking to Obamas bio. Critics argued that it took Google 4 years to remove the same search function that was linking directly to then-President Bushs bio.

Conspiracy theorists argue that Google was able to fix the problem quickly this time not because the algorithm was in place, but because the worlds largest search engine is an overwhelmingly liberal organization.

Google engineers argue that pranks, as they see them, are not high priorities for the web portal administrator while understanding that users use the internet to obtain information that shapes their ideas.

In the end, it all comes down to politics. Bush supporters will see the act as malicious while non-partisan observers will likely shrug it off.
