What exactly is George Bush doing these days? Just maybe one of the most hated men in the world today is easing his pain with the help of some pot. Given his staunch conservatism, he'd call it medical marijuana.

After his triumphs during the 2008 summer Olympics, Phelps came under public pressure to apologize for a photo published in a British tabloid showing him smoking from a bong. Kellogg's subsequently dropped Phelps as a sponsor in the wake of an intense public backlash.

If Barney Frank, Representative from Massachusetts's 4th district, has his way, marijuana will no longer be an illegal substance under U.S. law. Michael Phelps could have been saved a swarm of media scrutiny if it were already the case. Despite their philosophical differences, maybe G.W. still has enough clout to help Barney push his bill through.
